ACC Discounts

We advise clients on how to best obtain a discount on their ACC Levies.  There are two ways to achieve this:

  • If you are a medium to large company, you can apply to ACC for the Workplace Safety Management Practices (WSMP) Programme.  If successful, this will allow you a 10% (Primary), 15% (Secondary), or 20% (Tertiary) discount on your ACC levies.  This process involves an ACC Accredited Auditor carrying out an audit (at no charge to you), of your current health and safety systems, procedures and practices against the WSMP Audit Tool.
  • If you are a small company with 10 or less employees, you have a payroll of less than $380,000 and your industry is compatible, then the Workplace Safety Discount (WSD) Scheme could be the one for you.  It is a simpler assessment tool, a shorter audit (still at no cost), and if successful provides a 10% discount on you ACC Levies.
Accident/Incident Investigations

In the unfortunate event of a serious injury or incident, we can assist you with the investigation to help identify the root cause, establish and implement corrective and preventative actions, and provide advice on dealing and communicating with the Department of Labour.

Coaching

We work with key personnel within your organisation enabling them to manage safety in-house.  This includes assistance with developing and implementing a Health and Safety Plan, professional advice, training and regular meetings to review progress against the agreed plan.

Fire Safety and Emergency Evacuation Advice

We can provide advice on Fire Safety and Emergency Evacuation. This includes:

  • Evacuation Schemes
  • Floor Warden training
Hazard Management and Hazard Assessments

We can assist with the identification and effective management of hazards in the workplace.  This is usually part of the Workplace Assessments/Audits above.  We have access to several key providers who are some of the best in their fields.  This includes:

  • Fire Evacuation Schemes and Warden Training
  • Training and advice in areas such as:
    • Working at Heights
    • Confined Space Entry
    • Hazardous Substances
    • Fire Extinguisher
    • First Aid
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Regular Review meetings

We meet with you on a regular basis to review health and safety against your objectives.  These meetings include coaching, developing action plans, identifying resources, budgeting and acknowledging success.

Workplace Assessments/Audits

To assist our clients identify gaps in their health and safety systems and procedures, and provide recommendations based on best practice and the clients needs, we will carry out an assessment of their current health and safety systems, procedures and practices using the ACC Workplace Safety Management Practices (WSMP) Programme Audit Tool or other audit as required.
